Lieutenant Cantello Reserve - Pump Track

UPDATE ON PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF PUMP TRACK AT LIEUTENANT CANTELLO RESERVE, HAMMONDVILLE

Council apologises for the delay in issuing the final concept design for the Lt Cantello Reserve Pump Track.

Since the initial proposal was developed, a number of changes have occurred, and feedback received through community consultation has informed revisions to the concept design for the facility.

More recently, environmental advice identified that the proposed pump track is located on land mapped as a “Coastal Wetlands Proximity Area” under the Liverpool Local Environmental Plan (LEP). A key consideration is the proposed rezoning of the site from RE1 – Public Recreation to C2 – Environmental Conservation, which may affect the future permissibility of the pump track at this location.

Accordingly, Council will defer progressing the proposal until the LEP amendment process has been finalised and the future planning controls for the site are confirmed.

Should you require further information, please contact Council by email via lcc@liverpool.nsw.gov.au quoting 2024/2890.
