Liverpool City Council is proud to offer a live webcast of Council meetings held in the Council Chambers.

Council meetings are open to the general public and all residents are invited to attend. If you are unable to attend the meeting in person, you can watch a live broadcast while the meeting is in session.

Liverpool City Council holds regular Council meetings on Wednesday night at 6pm (unless otherwise stated).

Council Meeting Report Summary

At the February meeting Council:

Council voted to immediately campaign for the Bankstown Metro line to be extended to Liverpool, highlighting plans of the NSW Opposition to redirect funds from the Sydney Metro Southwest to the Sydney Metro West, which will link Parramatta with the City.

Council also accepted an independent review of the four-day week for outdoor staff and voted unanimously that work begin setting clear Key Performance Indicators for these staff, in conjunction with the four-day week.

Council also:

  • adopted the Liverpool Heritage Strategy which has been developed over the past year with stakeholders;
  • voted to update the Works in Kind and Planning Agreement policies, which will improve Council’s ability to work with developers to achieve outcomes for the community;
  • increased the CEO’s financial delegation for approving tenders, which will speed up the approval process for new contracts;
  • supported Council’s move to zero-based budgeting after we map and cost the services we currently provide; and
  • voted to investigate options to improve air quality in Liverpool.

Confidential sessions of Council meetings will not be broadcast. If the webcast stream goes black during a meeting, this will likely indicate the Council has entered into a confidential session. Note, the footage will be removed at the conclusion of each meeting.
