Live Council meetings webcast

Liverpool City Council is proud to offer a live webcast of Council meetings held in the Council Chambers.

Ordinary Council meetings will be broadcast. Liverpool City Council holds regular Council meetings on a Wednesday night (unless otherwise stated) at Francis Greenway Centre, 170 George Street, Liverpool, starting at 6pm.

At the December meeting Council:

Approved controls for the management of abandoned shopping trolleys;

Deferred rezoning of a parcel of land in Prestons for Environmental Conservation until the outcome of a court decision;

Withdrew support for the Middleton Grange Town Centre planning proposal;

Supported a 30-place out-of-hours care facility at Carnes Hill and agreed to investigate the provision of similar services in other areas in due course; and

Placed the Daft Community Safety and Crime Prevention Strategy 2019-2022 and Crime Prevention Plan 2019-2021 on public exhibition from mid January to the end of March 2019.


Confidential sessions of Council meetings will not be broadcast. If the webcast stream goes black during a meeting, this will likely indicate the Council has entered into a confidential session. Note, the footage will be removed at the conclusion of each meeting.

Liverpool City Council accepts no liability for any defamatory remarks that are made during the course of a meeting. The quality of the webcast will depend on your PC's memory and internet connection bandwidth.
