Liverpool’s Draft Local Strategic Planning Statement

Connected Liverpool 2050 is Council’s Draft Local Strategic Planning Statement (LSPS). Once it is adopted, it will inform the review of Liverpool City Council’s Local Environmental Plan. Connected Liverpool 2050 will guide the development of your suburb, balancing the need for housing, jobs and services as well as parks, community facilities and the natural environment.

It includes a 30-year land use vision for the Liverpool LGA and outlines priorities and actions to ensure that we can plan for what is needed in the future.

Key priorities in the draft include :

  • Protecting the local character of suburbs;
  • Concentrating new homes close to transport;
  • Improving connections to the Georges River; and
  • Fostering more jobs and opportunities within a 30-minute commute.
